Steve Caudette doing an impression of how they wear their hats in northern Maine.

Caudette: a funny sound effects extraordinaire

"What is a flaming Mack truck sound like?" Well, if you were at the Steve Caudette show on Firday night you would know exactly what one sounded like. Steve Caudette was a definate master of sound effects and impressions. His most repeated impression was that of his beloved, Spanish/Portugese/Russsian, girfriend. He calims that she is a hairy person and liked to assiocate her with a Wookie. After every quote there was a definate Wookie translation. He recently did a show in Maine and when he did his Wookie impression he got a response from a girl in the crowd. He seemed to like to talk about Maine.

Another good one was that of our Clarkson "Jedi" Knight. He tought that a Jedi would have been a much cooler mascot than our regular knight. But he did think that our mascot is much better than some unknown New York college that he has heard of, who's mascot is: "the breeze." One of my favorite impressions was him hitting the seek button on the radio while driving though the Adirondacks. Just continuous static as the needle rolled over again and again. I got a kick out of it the first time I did it and the joke was even funnier.

Being a skier myself I got a kick out of his impressions of a good and a bad skiier getting on the chair lift, and then his own problems with getting on the T-Bar.

Back when he had a crappy car with a broken radio he borrowed some mixed tapes from his girlfriend, but to his dismay the tapes were only relaxation tapes. Needless to say, he has the sound of the ocean memorized. Not anybody can just blow into a microphone and make it sound like the ocean, if you listened really closely you could even hear the seagulls.
