The Open Forum, which is a chance for all students to come forward with any academic, dining, or just general student life issues that they would like the Senate to work on, will be held on Wednesday, October 19 at 6 pm. in the Cheel Commons. THERE WILL BE FOOD. Students with complaints or concerns will be able to shout at Ryan Joy, CUSA President, James Mullen, Vice-President, and Gerard Miller, the Director of Public Affairs. The idea behind the forum is to bring the efforts of the Senate closer to the issues that students are most concerned about. If you want to see something accomplished or have a hot idea about something then come and share it with the people who are elected to work for you. Maybe you have a concern about parking, the campus internet network, food quality or pricing, the availability of study places at night, unfair grading, or laundry machines, regardless of what the issue, come to the Open Forum and get some one else to take care of it for you. Senate has more clout with the administration, faculty, and staff so if there's something you want to see accomplished but can't do it by yourself then chances are Senate can. Lots of people complain about all the things they hate about this university and that doesn't generally accomplish anything except annoying every one else, but occasionally when they complain to the right people something gets done. In this case, we are the right people. Once again, THERE WILL BE FOOD and the forum will be held on Wednesday, October 19 at 6 pm. in the Cheel Commons.
