Another friendly face from ARAMARK

Shelley has been working for ARAMARK for twenty five years. She grew up just ten miles away and she met her husband who was a student here when she was an employee. Her husband found a job in Potsdam after he graduated and she has worked for ARAMARK ever since. She has worked in every dining hall on campus, even including the ones that no longer exist such as Price, Graham, Lewis, and Hamlin-Powers. For twelve years she worked as the baker for Ross-Brooks.
Shelley can be found working at Tortilla Fresca in Cheel during the day, and she always has a bright smile. She thinks the students are usually polite and, "If not, I slap 'em up!" The only thing students can do to make her job more enjoyable is to smile back. Overall, she thinks they are very nice. Although, she agrees with Mary (the ARAMARK employee featured in last week's Integrator) that students should not use cell phones while ordering food because it is rude and it holds up the line. Also, and just saying "Thank you" is always greatly appreciated though it is a small gesture.
She would also like the students to know that the ARAMARK employees are here for them and that they are all doing the best they can to provide a good meal and food service. Shelley also hopes to make a difference in each student's day by being friendly and personable with everyone who comes to Tortilla Fresca. She enjoys having conversations with the students and getting to know many of them better.
Shelley's favorite part of her job has to be "Mixing the cheese sauce," and she even enjoys reading The Clarkson Integrator
