Seniors Sam Morse and Kirsten Schillemat each paced the Clarkson University Cross Country teams Saturday, November 12, as both finished in the top forty of their respective races at the NCAA Atlantic Regional held at the University of Rochester.

The women enjoyed a better showing overall at the event as the Golden Knights paced fifteenth out of twenty-eight teams on the women's side and nineteenth out of thirty-two teams on the men's side.

Schillemat came in thirty-eighth place out of 207 runners in the women's race with a time of twenty-four minutes and six seconds in the 6,000-meter race. Senior Marianna Worczak was the next best finisher for Clarkson as she placed sixty-ninth overall. Junior Janine Laskoski finished one-hundred and first overall and freshman Chelsea Reynolds came in one hundred and eighth and sophomore Sarah Gardner closed out the scoring for Clarkson when she passed the finishing line in one hundred and fourteenth place.

On the men's side, Sam Morse had the best showing of any runner for Clarkson as he came in thirty-first place out of 231 runners in twenty-six minutes and thirty-eight seconds. Senior Ken Crawford closed out his solid career for the Knights in seventy-fifth place while classmate Dan Ver was one hundred and third. Freshman Mike Ives came in one hundred and thirty-fifth and senior Dan Marker was one hundred and forty-fifth.

This was the last meet of the 2005 season for the Golden Knights, and they finished overall three wins and four losses.
