If the large crowd in Cheel Commons, despite the newfound cold weather and falling snow outside, was not an indication as to how funny Saturday night's performance would be, the laughter emanating from inside certainly proved it.

A regular to Clarkson University, Tiny Glover had the audience laughing within the first few minutes of his act. There were many memorable parts of Tiny's performance. In the middle of his act, he asked Bene Pizzeria from across the room if they would make him a white pizza. Though the audience laughed, the pizzeria complied, and someone delivered the pizza to the stage several minutes after his request. Later in the show, an audience member attempted to "steal" it, which had Tiny guarding his pizza and searching the crowd for the audience member. His improvisation was a riot, and the audience was roaring with laughter as Tiny walked off the stage to chase his "pizza assailant."

Other notable parts of his act involved audience members as well; Tiny tried to get two people together as a couple, poked fun at a boy with an Iron Maiden t-shirt, and hugged an audience member that had gotten up to go to the bathroom. All of which were extremely hilarious, especially for improv pieces.

Though Tiny improvised for a lot of his act, he mentioned that he had been to Clarkson many times before and commented on the combination of his new material, along with some of his old material. Though it would make sense that the audience would get tired of the same act, Clarkson students seemed to enjoy all of the jokes he told, and it was clear that they enjoyed his return, and his repetition of old jokes. This proves true as to just how funny the audience thought he was.

One of the funniest jokes of Tiny's performance was that of a gag gift he received consisting of leopard-print thong underwear. The joke itself was funny, even funnier however was when he pulled the said underwear out of his back pocket to show the audience. His joke ended with a "picture it now" scenario in which he was the spokesperson for Clarkson. "I can just imagine it," he said, "the ad would say 'Clarkson: An Uplifting Experience.'"

Glover seemed comfortable on stage, and loved the lime light. The audience seemed to love him, and will most certainly welcome him back next year. However, my personal opinion is that not everyone likes to get picked on, and I would have loved to see more written and rehearsed jokes than improvisational ones. Many of his jokes were funny. However, there were a few that I simply did not find funny enough to laugh at, simply because I did not think them well thought out jokes.

However, Tiny kept his jokes clean and barely offensive, which is hard to do as a comedian. His talent on stage was obvious, and the audience loved him. It was definitely worth the walk to Cheel on a Saturday night.
