Missing Person
Student reported missing for a short time from a CU group trip in Boston, Massachusetts. Student returned to group and to campus.

3/24/06 11:55 a.m.
Criminal Mischief
Person(s) unknown had damaged a multi-meter testing instrument located in a graduate lab in CAMP.

3/25/06 12:30 p.m.
Suspicious Person
Suspicious person, approximately 35-45 years old, was reported being in the ERC library. Officers responded and identified the subject. Subject was cooperative and had every reason to remain.

3/25/06 6:40 p.m.
Fire Alarm
Campus Safety & Security, along with maintenance, responded to a trouble alarm in the fire alarm system in the Quad dorms.

3/25/2006 11:30 p.m.
Alcohol Violation
Resident students found providing alcohol to other students that were underage who attended their party in Woodstock Village. Disciplinary action to follow.

3/26/2006 1:45 a.m.
Fire Alarm - False, Safety Violation
Person(s) unknown ignited fireworks in a Woodstock Village stairwell that caused the fire alarm to activate. Investigation continues.

3/26/06 9:00 a.m.
Safety Violation
A routine fire inspection in Woodstock Village found two safety violations where items were being stored in the building stairwells. Items confiscated and residents notified.

3/27/06 5:41 p.m.
Fire Emergency
Campus Safety & Security w/ assistance from Potsdam Fire checked Clarkson Hall for a faint smell of smoke. Possible light ballast. Building secured.

3/30/06 11:05 p.m.
Noise Complaint
Officers responded to a complaint of loud music in Woodstock Village. Residents were asked to lower the volume.

3/31/06 12:40 p.m.
Fire Call
911 dispatched Potsdam Police and Fire for a reported structure fire at the Delta Sigma Phi house located at 20 Pleasant Street, Potsdam. Fire damage was substantial. Many residents were found housing on campus.

4/1/06 12:10 a.m.
Missing Person
Complainant reported to Campus Safety & Security and Potsdam Police a fellow student missing from the downtown Potsdam area. Campus Safety & Security officers found the student safe in his room an hour later.

4/1/06 3:00 a.m.
Criminal Mischief
Person(s) unknown damaged a single man door window in the ERC. No access to the building was made.

4/1/06 7:50 a.m.
Petit Larceny
Person(s) unknown removed several shower heads from the four wings of the quad dorms. Investigation continues.

4/2/06 1:40 a.m.
Falsely Reporting an Incident - Fire Alarm
Person(s) unknown activated a pull station in Woodstock Village for no legitimate reason, causing the fire alarm to sound and Potsdam Fire to respond.

4/2/06 5:20 p.m.
Medical Emergency
Female visitor participating in a basketball league in the Fitness Center had difficulty in breathing. Potsdam rescue transported her to Canton/Potsdam Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

4/3/06 8:45 a.m.
Criminal Mischief
Person(s) unknown, sometime over the past weekend, damaged a window in a loader parked inside the President's house construction site.

4/3/06 12:30 p.m.
Criminal Mischief
Person(s) unknown damaged a third floor west, hallway door window in Congdon Hall. Residents to be billed for damage.

4/4/06 7:15 p.m.
Disorderly Conduct
Residents of Cubley House had a word written in large letters visible to people outside the dorm that could be offensive. Residents were cooperative when instructed by officers to remove and clean the window.
