After losing three of six games against ECAC opponents this season, the Clarkson Women's Hockey team is turning around with winning their last three games, including Friday's game against the Yale Bulldogs. After a slow start, with no score in the first thirty minutes, the Lady Knights offense finally woke up and scored four goals in the last two periods, to defeat the Lady Bulldogs with a final score of 4-2. Freshman Genevieve Lavoie recorded her second career hat-trick in the win and she also added an assist in her dominated offensive game against the Lady Bulldogs. Stephanie Hansen again started for the Golden Knights, with teammate Kira Hurley still out. Hansen had thirty-one saves, to improve her record this season to 6-1 and Yale goaltender, Ansley LaHue had a total of seventeen saves for the game.

The first period of game was only marked with two penalties against Yale; however, Clarkson could not convert the extra-man advantages for a goal. The beginning of the second period continued the defensive streak, with Yale not having a shot on goal in about the first five minutes of the period. The first goal of the game came at 10:58 in the second period, with Clarkson going ahead 1-0 and they would not look back for the rest of the game. Katie Morrison had her fifth goal of the season with teammates Britney Selina and Genevieve Lavoie assisting. Just about five minutes later, the Golden Knights increased their lead to 2-0 with Genevieve Lavoie scoring her ninth goal of the season. Lavoie was assisted by Amanda Dittmer and Jessica Cloutier. Lavoie added another goal during a power-play for the Knights to make the score 3-0. On the second goal of the game for Lavoie, she was assisted by Carlee Eusepi and Britney Selina.
