Running into the locker room at halftime, the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team had to feel confident with a one-point advantage against archrival St. Lawrence, but the Golden Knights lead quickly evaporated into a stunning 74-48 Liberty League loss to the Saints on Tuesday night at Burkman Gymnasium.

Clarkson slowed the pace in the first half, something it was unable to do against the Saints in the first meeting of the season, and came away with a one-point advantage, 26-25, while holding SLU to 9-for-29 shooting (31.0%) from the floor, including just 1-for-7 from beyond the three-point arc. The second half was a different story for the Saints as the team increased the tempo and blitzed Clarkson for a 66.7% in the final twenty minutes (20-for-30 from the floor). In the opening six minutes of the second half, Clarkson was held to just a single field goal as St. Lawrence ran off a 20-2 spurt to take a seventeen-point lead, 45-28, with fourteen minutes remaining. Though Clarkson was occasionally able to cut into the lead, the Saints kept pushing and was able to increase their advantage to the final twenty-six-point margin.

Senior forward Erick Vigansky scored a team-high nine points to lead the Clarkson Golden Knights, adding in four rebounds, which also led the squad. EJ Harrison also contributed seven points to go along with four boards and two steals.

Lawrence Avitabile scored fifteen points for Vassar, but was held to only three rebounds as Clarkson outrebounded the Brewers 40-27. Joe Davis came off the bench for the Brewers, scoring a team-high nineteen points, on 7-for-8 shooting from the field, in just thirteen minutes.

After dropping an overtime game to Vassar at home just two weeks ago, the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team won on the Brewers home court Friday night, winning a 57-53 Liberty League decision to keep the team's conference playoff hopes alive.

The opening half of Friday's game mirrored the first half of the previous game between the two teams as Clarkson's defense held Vassar in check, jumping out to a double-digit lead in the first seven minutes of play. However, Vassar clawed its way back into the contest quickly and ended the half with a 29-15 run over the final thirteen minutes to take a 31-28 advantage into the locker room.
