Seniors Ashlee Shaidle, Lauren Lubrano, Christina Valesente, Andrea Maluta, Carolyn Zidek, Lindsay Williams, Melissa Marshall, Christine Bailkowski, Jessica Finley, Kira Hurley, Stephanie Hansen, and Emma Madigan have led the Knights since the team's revival in '03-04.

Last Sunday, February 11, the Women's Hockey team clinched a spot in the ECACHL playoffs with a 4-2 victory over Quinnipiac College in their final home game of the season.

The Knights started the game off strong when freshman Carlee Eusespi scored ten minutes into the first period, tallying her fourth goal of the season; Genevieve Lavoie and Britney Selina each picked up an assist on the power-play goal. Less than two minutes later, Quinnipiac scored to tie the game at 1-1.

The Golden Knights picked up the pace in the second period. Senior Ashley Shaidle scored her first goal of the night six minutes in, adding another power-play goal to the Knights' tally. Clarkson went on to dominate the third period as well, as Shaidle scored her fiftieth career goal in the first minute of the frame and junior Brooke Beazer sank a shot just five minutes later for the Knights' third power-play goal of the game.

Quinnipiac managed a power-play goal in the last six minutes of regulation, but the Knights maintained their two-goal lead for the remainder of the game. Goaltender Kira Hurley stopped 16 of 18 shots on the night, and the Knights finished with a solid 27-18 advantage in shots on goal.

The Women faced Princeton the previous night, but the Golden Knights failed to overcome the defensive effort put forth by their opponents, falling to Princeton 2-0. Princeton scored just over a minute into the game and maintained their lead throughout Saturday's contest before clinching their win with a goal minutes before the end of the game. Despite playing hard, Clarkson could not capitalize on their slight 22-21 shot advantage or seven power-play chances.
