Mike Hooker scored a second-half goal to give Potsdam State a 1-0 win, its sixth win ever over the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team, on Tuesday, October 23, at Potsdam's Turf Field.

Clarkson hasn't beaten Potsdam State since 2004, but holds a 32-6-2 record all-time against the Bears through 40 meetings.

Hooker scored the game-winning goal in the 71st minute to give the Bears the win. Garrett Lee earned the assist for Potsdam.

The constant drizzle throughout Tuesday's contest reduced the offensive opportunities for both teams as the Bears narrowly out shot the Knights 8-6. Clarkson held an 8-4 edge in corner kicks.

Clarkson's Johnathon Rushing made two saves in the first half and Mike St. Croix stopped four shots in the second half. Tyler Lattimore made three saves for the Bears.

Having allowed only four goals through 17 games coming into the Friday, October 26 game, Plattsburgh State employs one of the tougher defenses in the country, and the final regular season game for the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team proved to be no change for the Cardinals as they shut down the Golden Knights 3-0.

The Golden Knights finished the season with a record of 3-11-2 overall while Plattsburgh State improved to 13-2-3 with its 16th shutout of the campaign.

Despite the 3-0 score, the Knights had almost as many chances on net as Plattsburgh as Clarkson took three shots on goal, just one short of the Cardinals four attempts on the net. Unfortunately for the Golden Knights, Plattsburgh converted in the 36th minute of the first half on a goal from Mike Pinamonti. Just 50 seconds into the second half, Gilbe Francillion added the Cardinals second goal, and in the 58th minute, Chris Taylor completed the scoring for the Cardinals.

Clarkson keeper Rushing made one save and John San Filippo made three saves for his 13th whitewash of the year. The Cardinals out shot Clarkson 14-6 overall and held an overwhelming 12-2 lead in corner kicks.
