What if…(I whisper into your ear)…
just think about it
Things would be different wouldn't they?
Imagine you step out of the shower and look, and the murky haze reveals nothing, it just stares back at you Imagine that you walked past shops, and looked across, and there was no one there to match you step for step, stare for stare Imagine that you were insecure and feeling unbeautiful And you got out of bed to seek council from your dresser, Applying coat after coat of makeup, Only for it to stare blindly at you, like a glass god, its single eye looks blankly over your head What if the waters hide their substance, and the sun its golden fingers as you stand over, peering, unseeing, into its surface

Would you believe you are wonderfully made Or would you turn nervously at every laugh, The hehes and the hahas, and the ahhahahas We cannot forget the mmmhmmhahahas Would you be tossed from side to side as you walk across a sea of people, imagining their snorts for sneers, Would your unsure legs wobble, like jelly Or would you listen to the voice of truth in you?

What would you do if you had no reflection
