The Golden Knights Men's Basketball team hosted the Casella Tip-Off Classic this weekend in the Alumni Gym. Ithaca College, Albany College of Pharmacy (ACP), and SUNY Potsdam all traveled to Clarkson to play in the tournament. Clarkson defeated ACP 69-48 on Friday, while SUNY Potsdam beat Ithaca 93-82. ACP and Ithaca played in the consolation game on Saturday afternoon, and Ithaca won 100-50. Clarkson battled SUNY Potsdam for the tournament championship on Saturday, and Clarkson lost 51-71. In the championship game, Clarkson's Nikolai Marquis scored 14 points, while teammate Elson Pickering finished with 13. Pickering was also named to the all-tournament team. Next weekend the Golden Knights will travel to Hamburg to face Hilbert College on Saturday, then to Rochester to play RIT on Sunday.
