Monica Thomas, Alicia Chace, and Rachel Whitermore all sat down to play the piano outside of The Clarkson Integrator office this week. After a stirring rendition of their favorite song, we were able to find out everything we wanted to know about them. The musical trio even came prepared with their answers written down!

Ever wonder what your favorite athlete is like off the ice, off the field, or off the court? Do they enjoy the same things you do? The Clarkson Integrator strives to meet the wants and needs of the student body. The time has come to know your Knights! This week we had the chance to sit down with three of the girls from the women's basketball team. Here is what Monica Thomas, Alicia Chace, and Rachel Whitermore all had to say:

Why did you get involved in basketball?
Monica: "I started playing basketball and I loved it."
Alicia: "It's something fun and exciting to do."
Rachel: "In sixth grade the basketball team needed girls, so they recruited me."


Are there any other sports you play?
M: "Cross-Country."
A: "Soccer and lacrosse."
R: "Soccer and track."


What is your favorite part about being a basketball player?
Monica and Alicia: "Being part of the team."
R: "The team and stuffing the crap out of people."


What is your favorite memory of basketball?
M: "All the good times with the team."
A: "Florida trip freshmen year."
R: "Michelle's three-point buzzer-beater versus SLU."


What position do you play?
Monica and Alicia: "Guard."
R: "All of them."


What is your hometown?
M: "Sandwich, MA."
A: "Cortland, NY."
R: "Holliston, MA."


When are your birthdays?
M: "February 20."
A: "December 21."
R: "April 13."


What is your major?
M: "Biology with a minor in psychology and a concentration in physical therapy."
A: "Mechanical engineering with a minor in math."
R: "Civil engineering with a concentration in construction management and a MBA."


What is your favorite movie?
M: "Love of Basketball and Boondock Saints."
A: "A League of their Own."
R: "I like all movies."


What is your favorite song?
M: "I like a lot of different music."
A: "'Whoa Now' by B-Rich."
R: "The Ross 3 rendition of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing.'"


What is your favorite food?
M: "Chicken Parmesan."
A: "Everything."
R: "Goldfish and Cheez-itz."


What is the funniest pick up line that you have used, had used on you, or have heard?
M: "'Did it hurt?? When we fell from heaven?'"
A: "'Did you just fart because you just blew me away.'"
R: "'Are you a parking ticket? Because you've got fine written all over you.'"


What is your favorite color?
Monica and Alicia: "Blue."
R: "Green, the color of the bus."


What is your favorite kind of car?
M: "944 Porsche."
A: "1988 Celebrity."
R: "The bus, aka the Jeep."


What is the most embarrassing moment on or off the court?
M: "Falling twice in the SLU game last year."
A: "Waiting for my 'meeting' at 5 in the morning in a place with no entry."
R: "Being dropped off the centipede thing at a rope challenge course."


What is the best thing to do on the weekends?
Monica and Alicia: "Hang out with friends."
R: "Hang with the team and the basketball groupies after games.


If there were one celebrity that you could go on a date with, who would it be, where would you go and what would you do?
M: "Play basketball with J. J. Riddick."
A: "Watch Encore with George Clooney in the townhouses because he is in the spotlight for January."
R: "Go to the BK Lounge with Dane Cook."


If you could trade places with someone for one day, who would it be and why?
M: "Victoria Beckham so I could be married to David Beckham for a day."
A: "Mickala Henson so I can block shots instead of being blocked."
R: "Katie Goldberg so I feel welcome when I crash Chanukah parties."


What is the best piece of advice you have received so far?
M: "'Live each day like it's your last.'"
A: "'You have to make your own fun.'"
R: "'Your body can handle it, it's all mental.'"


What are your plans for after college?
M: "Grad school for physical therapy."
A: "Get a job."
R: "MBA then get a job."


What is the best experience you have had at Clarkson?
M: "Being on the team and making friends."
A: "Meeting new people."
R: "Frequent visits to Ross 3."


If the student body could know one thing about you that they don't already, what would it be?
M: "I have a twin."
A: "I tend to pass out every few years having started in kindergarten."
R: "On Tuesdays, I let my inner gangster out."
