Safety & Security responded to a domestic incident where both parties were yelling at each other. One subject being a non-student was escorted off campus. Case pending.

Property damage
Campus Access Road
Potsdam PD along with Officers responded to a vehicle/deer accident. Minor damage to vehicle, deer expired.
2/29/08 12:38 a.m.
Motor vehicle accident
Campus Access Road
Student loss control of his vehicle while traveling northbound and slid into the ditch. Martins Garage called to pull out the vehicle.
3/1/08 2:00 p.m.
Criminal mischief
Parking Lot 10
Complainant reports that person(s) unknown, sometime over the past 24 hours had dented his vehicle on the driver's side front fender. Case open.
3/1/08 10:31 p.m.

Powers House
Person(s) unknown turned several showers on hot in a first floor bathroom. Person(s) opened the bathroom door allowing the steam to condense on hallway walls and detector, activating the alarm.

Potsdam Fire along with Safety & Security responded to an activated detector that appeared to be tampered with. Case pending.

Person(s) unknown, sometime overnight on Saturday 3/1 to 3/2, had damaged the second floor, west wing bulletin board.
3/3/08 6:10 p.m.
Fire emergency

Student mixed chemicals accidentally causing a more severe reaction than anticipated. Reaction caused a smoke condition that activated the building alarm along with damaging the hallway carpet. Restitution, fire safety fine, and disciplinary action to follow.

Petit larceny
Indoor Recreation Center
Student reports having his keys taken from his jacket. Student later had keys returned to him by another after taking them by mistake. Case closed.
