The first period was a battle of team defenses with only seven total shots on goal. The second period continued to the same tune as the first. There was no scoring until just 1:49 remained in the frame and the Crimson finally tallied a goal against the Golden Knight fortress of a defense. Katharine Chute skated into the high slot and fired a wrist shot past Clarkson goalie Grandmont-Berube.
The Crimson padded their lead three minutes into the third period, when Jenny Brine let a shot go from the blue line that was deflected into the net, extending the score to 2-0.
Shortly following their second tally, the Crimson added one more to their lead when Liza Ryabkina moved into the Clarkson zone, eluded a Golden Knight defender, and put the puck between a sprawling Grandmont-Berube's legs.
The score would remain 3-0 in favor of the Crimson with no answer from the Golden Knights. The Knights were eliminated from ECAC championship contention. The Crimson advanced to face St. Lawrence in the ECAC finals
